FC Bidda wins championship in penalty shootout tournament

FC Bidda became the champion as part of a sports campaign titled DoM Qatar Kick-off 2022 in a one-day football shootout tournament hosted by Qatar’s Diaspora in Malaplum.

Recently, more than 36 teams from the Indian community have attended an event at the Al Jazeera Academy.
Reuters FC and Mates Qatar were first and second respectively. FC Bidda’s Sayyidul Aman has been named the best goalkeeper. The tournament was started by Sharaf PHameed, CEO of City Exchange and former Vice President of the Indian Sports Center. DoM Qatar General Secretary Abdulashiz Chebidiknan welcomed the rally. Presided over by President VC Mashhood, Keshavdas Nilambur proposed a thank-you vote.
Winners were presented with trophies by Dr. Khalid al-Fakru, PN Baburajan President of the Center for Cultural Center of India, and Shamla Jaffer, the convener of Women’s Wing. Dr. Alfakul said the recent involvement of the Indian community in the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 and its support for the FIFA 2022 World Cup Qatar is exemplary and commendable. Dr. Biju Gafoor and Dr. Vipin Maypayur, Presidents of the Indian Doctors Club, made speeches at the closing ceremony.
