Filibuster of opposition lawmakers hinders discussions in the House of Representatives

Opposition lawmakers blocked discussions on reducing medical costs for state beneficiaries on Tuesday and Wednesday. Due to filibuster in the House of Representatives, lawmakers were unable to discuss any of the six scheduled points. It took five hours to decide on the agenda for the session, which had been sitting for a total of 22 hours by noon on Wednesday.

To speed up the issue, non-speaking agents were limited to a maximum of 10 minutes on the floor.

ANO’s opposition leader Andrej Babiš spoke for 3 hours and 15 minutes at a time during the session, but the session was suspended for 4 hours at night.
