Finland Immigration Bureau to establish a new reception center on April 21

Finland Immigration Bureau With the increasing need to provide accommodation for people fleeing Ukraine, we are preparing to set up a new reception center. In addition to the reception center, the Finnish Immigration Department can set up service points for private accommodation. This gives asylum or temporary protection-seekers who have arranged their own accommodation access to reception services and reception allowances such as healthcare and social services.

Most Ukrainians fleeing to Finland stay in private accommodation.

Some of the new reception centers are branches of the existing reception center. The Finnish Immigration Bureau continues to increase the number of accommodations in existing reception centers.

The Finnish Immigration Bureau is responsible for coordinating, planning and supervising the reception system. The Finnish Immigration Bureau has reception centers in Helsinki, Lappeenranta (Joutseno) and Oulu. Other reception centers are managed by non-governmental organizations, local governments and businesses.
