Flydubai, United Arab Emirates launches service to Pisa city in June

Flydubai, a low-cost carrier in the United Arab Emirates, is expanding its network in Italy. The airline has announced that it will begin flights to Pisa and resume flights to Catania from June 24th.

It is the first airline in the United Arab Emirates to operate a direct flight from Dubai to Pisa. The airline, which will also resume flights to Catania in Sicily, currently operates flights to Naples.

The airline operates services to Pisa International Airport (PSA) and Catania International Airport three times a week (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). Emirates will codeshare on these routes and flights will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Hamad Ovaidara, Chief Commercial Officer of Flydubai, said: Pisa will be a popular destination for travelers from the United Arab Emirates and the GCC to discover the beauty of the Tuscany region. Passenger numbers are steadily increasing as more countries relax travel restrictions and travel demand returns to pre-pandemic levels. We look forward to a special summer as we continue to add destinations to our network and fly more frequently on some of our existing routes. “

Jahun Effendi, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-Commerce in Flydubai, said: I will be traveling to Europe this summer. Passengers from Italy can enjoy convenient direct flights to Dubai throughout the year. Our flights are operated by a fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. “

In other news, flydubai has confirmed that it will operate flights from Dubai World Central to specific destinations as DXB’s northern runway will be closed for 45 days.
