A fire broke out in an apartment complex in Hjemseng, Nøtterøy, on Thursday night, with no reported injuries, but all apartments were completely destroyed.

A fire broke out in the Smidsrødveien building at Færder Municipality.

“The sad fact this morning is that all the apartments have been completely destroyed,” Fire Chief Tor-Atle Jakobsen wrote on Twitter at 7am Thursday morning.

“A lot of work was done to prevent the fire from spreading to the two adjacent buildings and the boat center. The heat threatened the half-family home and the windows broke. The strong efforts of the crew prevented further damage. “Jacobsen said.

No injuries reported

Police were notified of the fire just before 3 pm on Thursday night.

Police said on Twitter that everyone in the apartment was responsible and no injuries were reported.

The entire apartment complex has been burned down and work is underway to provide shelter for 16 people.
