GASTAT: Saudi Arabia’s date palm exports will increase by 4.8% in the first quarter

Riyadh-Saudi Arabia’s date palm exports increased 4.8% in the first quarter of 2022, exceeding 552 million SR compared to the same period in 2021.

Saudi Arabia has exported date palms to more than 113 countries over the past five years, achieving an annual growth rate of 13%, according to a report by the Bureau of Statistics. In addition, date exports have increased by 110% since 2016.

By strictly enforcing Saudi Arabia’s date standards and the standards required for export to target countries, the National Palm Trees and Date Centers are working to ensure the quality of Saudi Arabia’s dates. We are also working hard to help key players in the industry expand their export activities to bring Saudi Arabian dates into new markets.

In addition, the National Center has participated in more than 30 international exhibitions to sell Saudi Arabian date palms and their products, so it is enthusiastic about participating in international exhibitions and events with Saudi Arabian date palm exporters.

Saudi Arabia was ranked number one in the world in terms of date palm exports in 2021. This success is the result of coordinated efforts and cooperation among all stakeholders, ministries, authorities, manufacturers, and date palm producers to increase non-oil exports in the Kingdom.
