Golf: Woods will be part of the Ryder Cup in some role, says Johnson

(ANSA) – ROME, Oct. 5 – Tiger Woods will be part of a bid for the US Ryder Cup in Italy next year, captain Zach Johnson said on Sunday.

“Tiger Woods will certainly be a part of this Ryder Cup, but it remains to be seen what role he will be in,” Johnson said at a joint press conference with European captain Luke Donald.

“He loves the event and has always considered it a top priority. “This is an event that unites and represents a source of inspiration for all,” added Donald.
