Golob holds the previous government responsible for reducing EU funding

Prime Minister Madrid-Robert Golob pointed to the previous administration, commenting on the news that Slovenia’s EU recovery fund will save € 286 million due to higher-than-expected GDP growth.

“The agreement signed by the previous administration will give Slovenia less money than expected,” he added, adding that the agreement includes certain conditions that could lead to a reduction in funding.

Asked if Slovenia was the victim of his success, he said, “the sacrifice is enormous,” and “it seems so on paper.”
