Greek FM welcomes Libyan parliamentary speaker’s condemnation of Turkey-Libya deal

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias met Thursday with Aguila Saleh Issa, speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives and town representative of Al Qubba, expressing Greece’s gratitude for his denunciation of the Turkish-Libyan “memorandum of understanding” .
In a tweet, Dendias, who is about to end his visit to Libya, said Aguila Saleh Issa denounced both the so-called Turkish-Libyan Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2019 and 2022.
In addition, the Greek minister said the two senior officials had “constructive discussions on parliamentary issues and bilateral relations”.
During his stay in Libya, Dendias also met with Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar of the Libyan National Armed Forces (LNA) and the Chairman of the Committee of the Libyan House of Representatives. [AMNA]
