In the Berlin-Brandenburg region, official thermal warnings by the German Meteorological Authority (DWD) are in effect until Sunday night, given that midsummer temperatures far exceed 30 degrees Celsius.

According to forecasts, temperatures north of Brandenburg can reach up to 32 degrees Celsius, while temperatures south of Brandenburg and Berlin can reach 34 to 38 degrees Celsius. Very full public pool on saturday
On Saturday, DWD had already warned of serious heat stress in the area. In Berlin, for example, hot summer weather has attracted thousands of people to public pools. Some of them were very crowded and often had very long lines. Two fatal swimming accidents also occurred on a lake in Berlin on Saturday.
