Hundreds of people attend yoga sessions in Washington.

In front of the International day of yoga Hundreds of people attended a yoga session hosted by the Embassy of India at the iconic Washington Monument on June 21st.

Participants in the event on Saturday were from a variety of disciplines, including the US government, parliament, industry, diplomatic corps, the media, and the Indian diaspora.

Dr. Sethuraman Panchanathan, director of the National Science Foundation (NSF), said yoga is the greatest gift to the Indian world. Dr. Panchanasan was a guest at an embassy-sponsored event in collaboration with several diasporas and US organizations.

The director of NSF argued that yoga is a powerful cohesive force that transcends geography and boundaries, and that science and yoga are synergistic for mental and physical prosperity.

As part of the celebration, a general yoga protocol session was held with enthusiastic participation from attendees.

India’s Ambassador to the United States, Tarangit Singh Sandu, said yoga enhances physical, mental, mental and intellectual well-being. In the new post-covid scenario, he said yoga helps build resilience, health, unity, compassion, and happiness.

Together with the United States, Sandu says yoga is deepening the important connections and connections between people. This is the core of the bilateral partnership between India and the United States, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden.

Five Indian consulates in the United States (New York, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, San Francisco) are also hosting various programs to commemorate International Day of Yoga 2022.

These include New York’s iconic Times Square, Niagara Falls, San Francisco’s Golden Gate National Park, California Museum, Sacramento, San Diego’s Crown Point Park, Atlanta’s New Town Park, Chicago’s Grant Park, and the North Mahat Maganji Memorial. Events at the Discovery Green in Texas, Houston, San Antonio, River Walk in San Antonio.

For International Day of Yoga 2022, embassies and consulates across the United States have held several curtain razor events.
