Hungarian Parliament elects state audit director

Congressman elected László Windisch chief on Monday State Audit Office (ÁSZ).

Vindish was elected with 136 votes in favor and 23 votes against, with 11 votes invalid. After voting, Vindish took his oath of office in parliament.

Windish, now Deputy Leader of the Central Statistics Office Ireland (KSH), was nominated for that position by a relevant parliamentary committee at the recommendation of the ruling Fides-Christian Democratic Party Alliance.

The head of ÁSZ is elected for a 12-year term, with two-thirds of the members participating in the secret ballot.
