Hungary, Morocco, strengthening economic relations

Trade between Hungary and Morocco has skyrocketed by 24% over the past year, and the region’s growing economy provides good prospects for Hungarian companies, Finance Minister Mihaly Varga. Said After meeting his Moroccan counterpart, Nadia Fetta Alawi, in Morocco on Wednesday.

Mr Barga said trade between the two countries reached $ 260 million last year after meeting with bystanders at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) General Assembly.

Hungarian companies offering innovative technologies and products will find new opportunities in Morocco, Barga said. Exports of Hungarian electrical equipment and vehicles are important, the Treasury quoted Mr. Barga.

According to Barga, its purpose is to strengthen ties in water management, farm and food processing technologies, energy management, and asset development.

He said the cooperation agreement between Hungarian and Moroccan customs and customs authorities will contribute to the development of the relationship as well as the Moroccan-Hungarian Business Council, which will begin operations in the near future.
