I’m fuming after a car parked next to my drive ignoring the double yellow line – missed a hospital appointment

A disabled homeowner blew up a motorist who parked on a double yellow line and blocked her driveway – she was forced to miss a hospital appointment.
Linda Smith, from CoventryMs. has a curb drop outside her house and a sign on the gate that says ‘Accessible’.
But this is often not enough to discourage drivers from blocking the driveway despite the double yellow line on the road, she says.
She was left fuming when one driver left the car just outside.
She told CoventryLive:
“But we weren’t able to get out of the drive because of cars parked outside the road and gate.”


Linda said people blocking her driveway were an “ongoing problem”.
She added: “Cars on the pavement also prevent you from passing.
“The poor guy on the road we see most days can’t pass by with his broken bike.”
After Linda shared a photo of the car on Facebook, the car’s driver was branded “selfish” by outraged social media users.
One user said, “I should have called the police because my drive was blocked.”
Another commented: “BMW drivers, they own the roads with Audi drivers.”

“Once again – well done,” was sarcastically written in a giant speech bubble as a sign-off to the rant.
