“I’m not requesting a visa, I’m not going to Moscow,” says Salvini-English

(ANSAmed)-May 3 Rome-League leader Matteo Salvini denied planning a visit to Russia over the conflict in Ukraine on Tuesday.

“There is no visa application or mission organization,” he said.

“The purpose is to reach peace and meet everyone at all costs,” Salvini said in an interview with the Pope on Corriere della Serra, released Tuesday. Italians polled in a recent survey by the Ipsos Institute.

“The new agreement between Russia, Ukraine, Europe and the United States must be an end for everyone,” said the league leader.

In an interview with La7’s “Nonèl’Arena” show on Monday, Salvini said, “If we can get closer to peace, we are ready to go to Moscow tomorrow morning.”

“We’re working on it, we’re doing something carefully,” he told the broadcaster. (ANSAmed).
