In memory of Homer Halbert

Hulbert Memorial Society President Kim Dong-jin (second from right) pays tribute to Homer Hulbert (1863-1949), an American missionary and educator who helped Korea gain independence from Japan. Wednesday. Hulbert He first came to the Korean Peninsula in 1886 and died in Seoul in 1949. He is buried at the Yanghwajin Foreign Missionary Cemetery in western Seoul.
