Indian sports fraternity hopes Tokyo Olympic champion Niraji Chopra will celebrate his 24th birthday

New Delhi: Indian javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold medal in India at the Tokyo Olympics and built history, turned 24 on Friday.

From fans to fellow sports associates, young javelin throwers have received some heartfelt birthday wishes on social media.

At this year’s Tokyo Olympics, Niraji became the second Indian personal gold medalist after Abhinav Bindra. He was also the first Indian Olympic athlete to claim yellow metal in athletics.

Rani Lampal, captain of the Indian women’s hockey team, tweeted: I wish you a wonderful year. “

“Happy birthday to Olympic gold medalist and India’s beloved brother Niraji Chopra,” London 2012 bronze medalist wrestler Yogeshwaldat wrote on Facebook.

Tokyo Olympic wrestler Sonam Malik wrote on Twitter:

“Happy Birthday @ Neeraj_chopra1 Sir” tweeted by Akash Kumar, a bronze medalist at the 2021 World Boxing Championships.

Neeraj is currently training in the off-season at the Chula Vista Elite Athletes Training Center in California, USA. He is currently a prestigious training center preparing for the 2022 World Athletics Championships, Federal and Asian Games.
