Wickremesinghe made the proposal during a meeting with Asian Development Bank President Masatsugu Asakawa at the Asian Development Bank headquarters in Manila this morning.
The ADB President welcomed President Wickremesinghe on his arrival at ADB Headquarters.
President Wickremesinghe thanked the President of the Asian Development Bank for his emergency assistance to Sri Lanka and discussed further strengthening the long-standing relationship between Sri Lanka and ADB.
ADB President promised President Ranil Wickremesinghe to continue cooperation with Sri Lanka.
President Wickremesinghe also briefed the governor of the Asian Development Bank on Sri Lanka’s involvement with the International Monetary Fund.
Meanwhile, President Ranil Wickremesinghe also participated in discussions with experts working at the Asian Development Bank.
