Internationally renowned athletes competing in this year’s Golden Spike Ostrava

Olympic long jump champion Miltiádis Tentguru and shot put world champions Tom Walsh and Joe Kovacs are among the star lineups competing in this year’s Golden Spike Ostrava. At the annual athletics tournament, which kicks off on May 31, Czech Olympic duo Yakubu Badreich will compete with 2017 javelin throwing world champion Johannes Vetter, the organizers announced on Tuesday.

The history of the annual Golden Spike dates back to the 1960s. This is part of the World Challenge Meeting of the International Athletics Federation.
