Iran claims that its intelligence agency has dismantled a group associated with the Israeli spy agency Mossad, which allegedly planned terrorist operations within Iran.

Citing the state’s intelligence ministry, group members entered Iran from an unspecified neighboring Kurdish area, according to Iran’s state television on Saturday.

The television did not say how many people were arrested and did not reveal their nationality. The network planned “sabotage in sensitive areas and unprecedented counterterrorism operations” without revealing details, the statement said.

The report also stated that the Iranian army had arrested all members of the group and confiscated a large number of weapons, explosives, techniques and communications equipment belonging to the group in several operations throughout Iran.

There was no immediate comment from Israel.

Iran’s Nuclear Development Plan

Iran often accuses foreign enemies and rivals such as Israel, the United States and Saudi Arabia of trying to destabilize the country.

Last month, the state-owned IRNA news agency wants three Iranian nuclear scientists to be killed by prosecutors in Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Baltistan states arrested in April on suspicion of cooperating with Israeli Mosad intelligence. He said he insisted.

In May, an unexplained incident struck the Partin military facility, a major military and weapons development base in eastern Tehran, killing engineers and injuring another employee. Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guards later stated that the incident was an “industrial disruption.”

Earlier this month, US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid signed a joint pledge to reject Iran’s nuclear weapons.

Tehran says its nuclear program is peaceful and denies seeking nuclear weapons.
