Italy’s oldest student graduates again at age 98

Rome- 98-year-old Giuseppe Paterno has become the oldest graduate of Italy.

Reuters reported that Palermo added a master’s degree in history and philosophy to its first degree in the same subject it took two years ago at the University of Palermo.

He got the latest degree with the best grades, again his proud family said on Facebook.

He has no plans to rest and wants to write a novel using a reliable typewriter.

Born in 1923, Paterno grew up in a poor family in Sicily and loved books and studies, but couldn’t go to college when he was young.

Instead, he served in the Navy from the age of 20 during World War II and became a railroad worker. -agency
