Jaguar Land Rover creates new jobs in Slovakia by fall

Vacancy is also open to Ukrainian people.

British car maker Jaguar Land Rover will produce new models at its Nitra plant.

The Land Rover Defender 130 will be officially announced on Tuesday, May 31, about two months after being forced to suspend production for several days due to a shortage of parts.

With the introduction of new models, Jaguar Land Rover will hire hundreds of new employees. “We plan to expand our team with 700 workers,” said Russell Leslie, Executive Director of a Slovak car manufacturer. In the fall, we need to increase the number of employees to 4,500.

Last summer, 700 people were hired.

One-third of Jaguar Land Rover employees are women.

The company is looking for production operators, management staff, engineers and team leaders. The average monthly salary of an experienced production operator starts at € 1235 and € 1198 for an inexperienced operator.

The company is also considering launching a three-shift business from September.

The company said the vacancies are also open to Ukrainian people. As of April, dozens of people from Ukraine are working for car makers.
