Japanese bags remain ranked 1 and India remains 87th – Top 10 list

The Henry Passport Index recently released a list of the strongest passports in the world in 2022. Here we rank all 199 passports in the world according to the number of destinations the owner can access without a prior visa.

This year’s passport ranking 2022 is Japan India remains ranked in 87 countries, but has the top position among 199 countries.th spot. Meanwhile, according to Henry, Pakistan is reported to have the fourth worst passport in the world.

This ranking is based on data from the International Air Transport Association, which maintains the world’s largest travel information database, and is enhanced by extensive and ongoing research by the Henry & Partners Research Division.

According to the rankings, Japan, Singapore and South Korea have the strongest passports in the world and have access to most countries. Japanese passports provide entry into 193 countries effortlessly, while Singapore and South Korea both provide entry into 192 countries.

Among the other top-ranked countries are mainly European countries, the United States, and the United Kingdom. On the other hand, Afghanistan passport holders can access 27 countries, while Iraqi passports can access 29 countries.

Among the rest of Asia, India ranks 87th, along with Mauritius and Tajikistan, and its passport provides access to 67 countries. Pakistan has one of the weakest passports in the world, ranked higher than Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.

China has a 69th place partnership with Bolivia, with each passport accessing 80 destinations. Bangladesh ranks 104th, five higher than Pakistan, and passport holders have access to 41 countries, Dawn reported.

The Henley Passport Index uses 17 years of data to help government and global authorities assess the value of citizenship in different countries. This index also ranks passports based on the country that offers the most visa-free or access to visas upon arrival.
