Saudi Gazette report
Riyadh — The Directorate General of Passports (Jawazat) has started implementing a procedure to extend the ID cards of Yemeni visitors residing in Saudi Arabia.
Jawazat began implementing these procedures in line with royal directives. This covers all Yemenis residing in the Kingdom who regularly update their visitor identities in the previous period.
This mechanism will be implemented in collaboration with the National Information Center (NIC) with an extension period of 6 months until 7 December (Jamadul Awwal 13, 1444 AH).
Jawazat pointed out that beneficiaries will need to pay a fee to complete the procedure to extend the “visitor’s identity”, noting that the payment service will be available until the end of Tuesday, August 23.
The extension of the “visitor’s identity” will be done automatically without the need to go to Jawazat’s office, Jawazat confirmed.
It also said that “visitor identities” would be printed through the accounts of hosts on the “Absher” platform and delivered via Saudi Post (SPL).
