Justice is served when all involved are punished – Repubblika

The NGO Repubblica said the admissions by the two men to their involvement in the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia was just a small step towards full justice.

On Friday, George and Alfredo DeGiorgio were each sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to involvement in the crime.Caruana Galizia died in a car bomb on Oct. 16, 2017. .

In order for justice to be done, the Republica must be involved in the crime, including those who paid for the assassination, those who knew the plan but did nothing, those who tried to cover up the crime, and those who hindered the investigation. He said that anyone who did so must be punished.

The NGO expressed its gratitude for the sacrifice of the Caruana Galizia family.

The NGO expressed its appreciation for the work done by the prosecutor and his team, investigators, magistrates and judges who worked on the case.

The Republica reiterated its commitment to seeking justice and invited the public to join its protest march on Sunday.
