K-POP in Brussels: World Festival on 4 September and girl power group Black Swan

K-pop fans can look forward to global music genre-focused festivals, including performances by girl band Black Swan.

Hosted by the Korea Cultural Center, the event will take place on September 4 at the La Madeleine concert venue in Brussels.

K-POP World Festival x Black Swan presents an exciting double program showcasing the best from Korea’s contemporary pop and dance scene.

Mixing modern Western sounds and African-American influences with Korean performances, K-pop’s cross-cultural values ​​are one of the reasons why the movement has become a global phenomenon.

In the first part of the program at La Madeleine, 13 solo or group teams will participate in a K-POP dance competition. Dancing is an integral part of K-pop and requires considerable skill and training. This includes so-called “point choreography”, which consists of synchronized movements, changes of formation, and hooks and repetitive key movements.

Multinational girl group Black Swan will be invited to the stage later in the night, and K-POP is a space for girl bands to flourish.formed by DR music, Black Swan consists of Fatou, Leia, Gabi, and Suriya. Fatou is from Belgium while the other girls are from India, Brazil and Germany.

The group debuted in October 2020, but the current line-up dates back to July 2022.
