Kanye West and Bianca Censoli cheered at pro-Donald Trump rally in Beverly Hills

Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censoli, were cheered by protesters at a rally in support of former President Donald Trump's presidential campaign in Beverly Hills, California, on Saturday.

West, 47, and Sensari, 29, were photographed driving through an upscale neighborhood in a Tesla Cybertruck, flanked by supporters of the 45th president, who is the Republican presidential candidate facing Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic front-runner in this fall's US elections.

TMZ reported on Sunday that Trump supporters were holding American flags and pro-Trump signs and began chanting Kanye's name when they noticed he was driving the car.

Many of the protesters were attempting to film their clashes with West, who has had a number of high-profile exchanges with Trump over the past eight years.

Sensoli didn't seem too bothered by the increased attention, glancing in his partner's direction before they took off.

West has not spoken publicly about the current election cycle but has openly supported Trump in the past.

At a concert following Trump's victory over Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton at the SAP Center in San Jose, California in November 2016, West told the concertgoer that he had not voted, but if he had, he would have voted for Trump.

The following month, West met with Trump at Trump Tower in New York City.

During Trump's presidency, on October 11, 2018, President Trump invited West to the Oval Office to meet with the late NFL legend Jim Brown, who passed away in May 2023.

“Kanye, I'm happy to be with you. These are both friends of mine and Kanye's been a friend for a long time,” Trump told West during the televised meeting.

West, who wore President Trump's red “Make America Great Again” hat at the meeting, said, “When I put this hat on, I felt like I was Superman. You created Superman. Superman is my favorite superhero. And because I admire you, you created the Superman cape for me.”

During the meeting, West shared his views with Trump on issues, particularly law enforcement and race relations, according to the Associated Press.

“We definitely have to have a conversation about police killings,” West said, “and we need to bring integrity to our police officers and make them feel like they're just like us.”

He continued, “This is hate speech and a huge source of racial tension. We black people have to take responsibility for our actions too. We kill each other more than police officers, but that doesn't mean the police officers aren't the problem because they are in a position of power.”

Trump said he was “open to anything” when it came to reforming the issue, including the implementation of stop and search measures.

“So they've got to do something, and if there's anything they can do differently, I'm totally open to it. Kanye, I'm totally open to it, but they've got to,” Trump said. “We all agree that they've got to do something.”

Relations between Trump and West appeared to sour in November 2022 when West hosted Nick Fuentes, a white supremacist who has denied the Holocaust, for dinner at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.

Trump called West “deeply troubled” in a post on Truth Social after West made a series of anti-Semitic comments in multiple media outlets in the weeks leading up to the Mar-a-Lago meeting.

“So I decided to try to help Ye, a deeply troubled man who happens to be black, who has been devastated in business and in almost every other way, and who has always been good to me, by granting his request to meet alone at Mar-a-Lago and to give him some much-needed 'advice,'” Trump said.

Trump continued, “He showed up with three people, two of whom I didn't know and one a politician I hadn't seen in years. I told him not to run, it was a waste of his time and he wouldn't win. Fake News gone wild!”
