Kuwait advises British citizens to leave the country

The Embassy of Kuwait in the United Kingdom has advised citizens to return home as a result of the surge in the Omicron incident in the United Kingdom.

The embassy also called on citizens to follow the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ recommendation to postpone their trip to the United Kingdom due to the increasing number of cases of Covid-19.

On Sunday, January 2, more than 137,000 new Covid cases were reported in England and Wales (Scotland and Northern Ireland figures were not reported as a result of the New Year weekend).

England and Wales figures show that an additional 73 people died within 28 days of the positive test. In the UK, 13,151 patients were hospitalized from 12,615 the day before.

Kuwait’s embassies in other European countries, including France, Germany, Italy and Spain, reportedly issued similar recommendations to citizens to enter and leave Kuwait following the rise in Covid-19 infections in these countries. Has been done.
