Kuwait begins vaccination of children aged 5 to 11 years

Kuwait: From yesterday, the Ministry of Health began vaccination against COVID-19 in children aged 5 to 11 years. The ministry had previously stated that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine would be given to this age group, based on the results of the study and the approval of relevant authorities. The ministry said it would provide vaccines to all enrolled people to protect and ensure the health and safety of their children.

Kuwait yesterday reported 5,990 new COVID-19 cases, in addition to two deaths and 5,101 recovery. Meanwhile, the number of ICU patients increased from 86 on Wednesday to 89 on Thursday. The number of hospitalized patients increased from 486 to 503, and the total number of active cases increased from 54,171 to 55,058. According to the Ministry of Health’s daily report, the ratio of new daily cases to new tests reached 18.1 percent, but the recovery rate remained at 89.8 percent. -agency
