Kuwait: The Central Statistics Office (CSB) said on Tuesday that the consumer price index (CPI) in Kuwait rose 4.52 percent on an annual basis in May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.
In a KUNA statement, the CSB revealed that the CPI rose 0.16 percent to 124.8 each month due to the highs of the major groups in the movement of the index.
The statement shows annual price fluctuations in May 2022, stating that food and beverages increased by 8.23 percent from May 2021 figures. He added that tobacco and tobacco are stationary at 135.0 points.
Clothing and shoes prices rose 6.37% and housing services rose 2.26%.
The CSB revealed that home maintenance of furniture and equipment increased by 2.27% and health status increased by 1.78%.
According to the CSB, transportation increased by 4.90 percent, communication increased by 2.29 percent, recreation and culture increased by 3.88 percent, and education increased by 18.95 percent.
Restaurants and hotels increased by 2.77%, and services and other products increased by 3.21%.
