Lasana Sisse’s body finally returns home for burial

The body of Lasana Chisse will finally return home for burial in Côte d’Ivoire.

Cissa was 42 years old when she was killed by cold blood when she returned home on April 6, 2019. Two soldiers, Francesco Fennec and Lorin Sikruna, have been charged with his murder. Both have denied the charges and are currently on bail.

The murder is believed to be racially motivated.

The Times of Malta, government sources say, will leave the Sith’s body out of Malta in the next few days.

His body was actually released for burial nine months after the killing, but the Covid-19 pandemic travel restrictions made it impossible to transfer the body to Côte d’Ivoire.

A commemorative event dedicated to Cisse will also be held in the coming days.
