Macroblock supplies miniLED driver ICs used in Li Auto’s HUDs

Macroblock will be used in a 13.3-inch HD HUD (heads-up display) for the Li L9, a smart electric SUV launched in June 2022 by China-based electric vehicle (EV) vendor Li Auto, according to Macroblock. We supply miniLED driver ICs.

Thanks to a time-division architecture that enables multiple local dimming zones, the miniLED driver IC improves the brightness and contrast of touchbar screens, the vendor said.

Macroblock said its driver ICs have passed AEC (Automotive Electronics Council)-Q100 Grade 1 and ASIL (automotive safety Integrity level) A/B certification.

Macroblock has reportedly entered the supply chain of multiple China-based new energy vehicle vendors.

Globally, 185 million automotive panels will be shipped in 2022, increasing to 200 million by 2025 and 241 million by 2026, Macroblock points out to market research. increase.
