Main retailers in downtown SF have closed their doorways for good

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Union Sq. in downtown San Francisco will begin to look just a little totally different. By Saturday night time, two main retailers could have completely closed their doorways.

Previous Navy on 801 Market St. closed its doorways for good by the tip of the night time on July 1. Nordstrom Rack on 901 Market St. was open for its ultimate day on Friday, June 30.

Previous Navy first made the announcement of the Union Sq. location’s closure in Might after being open for the reason that Nineteen Nineties. The corporate determined to not renew its lease, which ended July 1.

“We’re already working to establish new areas in downtown San Francisco that may higher serve the wants of the enterprise and our clients,” a Hole Inc. spokesperson informed KRON4.

Previous Navy’s and Nordstrom Rack’s closures are a part of a retail exodus within the metropolis. Shops akin to Entire Meals and AT&T’s flagship retailer introduced their plans to shut in downtown SF.

The ultimate day for Nordstrom (to not be confused with Nordstrom Rack) inside Westfield Mall is on Aug. 27.
