Man arrested after body found in Dublin apartment

A man has been arrested after his body was found in his Dublin apartment.

Gardai said the body of a man in his late 20s was found Saturday night in an apartment on Achir Road, Drumcondra.

His body remains at the scene and has been notified to the State Pathologist’s Office and Garda’s Technical Department.

The apartment has been preserved for forensic examination, and the Griffith Park area has also been cordoned off.

The arrested man, in his 30s, is now being held at Garda Police Station, north of Dublin, where he could be held for up to seven days, Gardai said.

An incident room has been set up at Ballymun Garda station and an investigation is ongoing.
