Man injured after two motorcycles collide on Gozo

A motorcyclist was injured in a traffic accident on the island of Gozo on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the accident occurred around 3:15 pm in Tolic il Cappuccini, Rabat, Gozo, between two motorcycles, a Piaggio Vespa GTS and a Honda Hornet 600.

Police said the 34-year-old Piaggio rider from Zebbagh, Gozo, collapsed as a result of the crash. He was taken to Gozo General Hospital for treatment and was certified as seriously injured.

The Honda rider, a 54-year-old Italian man from Rabat, Gozo, was not injured.

A police investigation is ongoing.
