In 2008, the Ahmedabad police investigation and crime department arrested Nasir for being one of the members of the Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist organization, a radical faction of the banned Students’ Islamic Movement (SIMI). did. He was charged with murder, attempted murder, and criminal conspiracy, and was accused of anti-terrorism law, the Illegal Act (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The trial in this case began in December 2009 against 78 people. The proceedings of this high-profile, confidential case were initially held in Sabermaty Central Prison for security reasons, after which the proceedings were conducted primarily through video conferences. The court has integrated all 35 FIRs related to the explosion.

In early 2015, Hubli Karnataka’s Sessions Court acquitted Raziuddin Nasir and 16 of his associates in a criminal conspiracy case related to the Indian Students’ Islamic Movement (SIMI) case.

In January 2008, the Karnataka Police Detective Agency (CoD) arrested Nasir and other SIMIs for sabotage and terrorist activities. Karnataka police claimed that Nacil had organized a weapons training camp in the woodlands near Hubli with his fellow SIMI members.

He was acquitted because the prosecution failed to prove his charges against him.
