Meet Qatar World Cup Women Referees

For the first time in the men’s World Cup’s 92-year history, FIFA has selected three female referees.Three female assistants in charge of the match in Qatar.

The three judges are:

Stephanie Frapert, who has been a referee in World Cup qualifiers and the Champions League and is already active in men’s matches.

Salima Mukansanga has refereeed some of Africa’s biggest tournaments, including the African Cup of Nations and the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Yoshimi Yamashita, referee at the FIFA Women’s World Cup and Summer Olympics.

The assistant referees are:

Neuza is back from Brazil.

Karen Diaz Medina from Mexico.

Catherine Nesbitt from America.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will have 36 referees, 69 assistant referees and 24 video match officials.
