LONDON, Aug 18 — Manchester City footballer Benjamin Mendy told one of his rape accusers that he could come to his house “every night” as a “privilege” if he remained silent, heard his trial today.

A 20-year-old woman’s recorded testimony was presented to a jury at Chester Crown Court in the North West of England.

In a tearful interview, she recalled meeting the 28-year-old defender while out with friends at a bar in Cheshire in October 2020.

Mendy then invites them to a nearby mansion, where he picks up the phone and accuses her of taking pictures of him.

She said she took Mendy to her bedroom to try and retrieve her phone when the door behind her closed and locked.

The accuser told Mendy: According to her testimony, he replied, “The door is locked anyway.”

A jury heard her say Mendy had raped her three times in about 20 minutes. I don’t want to have sex with you i need to go. “My body was so tense. It was just this pain,” she told the court.

Mendy then told her: “Don’t tell anyone, you can come here every night,” she insisted.

“It was kind of a privilege to have him do it every night,” she told police.

Mendy faces eight counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, and one count of attempted rape, involving seven young women.

The Premier League star has pleaded not guilty to all charges in a trial expected to last 15 weeks.

Prosecutor Timothy Clay said in court that Mendy and co-defendant Louis Saha-Matchery were “predators poised to commit serious sex crimes.”

Mattley, 40, has also pleaded not guilty to eight counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault.

Matturie’s crimes are said to have taken place between July 2012 and August last year, and Mendy has been accused of a series of sex crimes since October 2018.

Mendy joined Premier League champions City from Monaco in France in 2017. He made his 75th appearance for Manchester City, but his playing time was limited by injuries and loss of form.

He was suspended by the city after being charged with police last August.
