Riyadh — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) is asking all companies that provide brokerage services in the recruitment of domestic workers to ensure that the cost of hiring Sri Lankan domestic workers does not exceed the maximum approved rate of SR15,000. instructed to

The ministry has set the employment limit for domestic workers at 15,000 riyals, not including value added tax (VAT).

The decision is part of the ministry’s zeal to monitor recruitment costs in the labor market in a way that ensures the quality of services provided.

In September 2022, the ministry issued a directive requiring licensed businesses and agencies to cap the cost of recruiting domestic workers of different nationalities.

It stipulates a cap of 9,500 riyals for recruiting domestic workers from Uganda. Thailand SR10,000; Kenya SR10,870; Bangladesh SR13,000; Philippines SR17,288, and these charges do not include his VAT.
