Support for energy infrastructure projects is higher for men and older people than for women and younger age groups. A survey conducted by Tietoykkönen was answered by 1000 people. The result has a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percentage points.
Construction of the country’s sixth nuclear power plant was suspended in early May. Fennovoima, a nuclear company founded by a group of Finnish energy and industrial companies, has terminated its supplier contract with Rosatom, a Russian state-owned nuclear company that was a minority shareholder in the project.
