Mount Appeal to Stay Draghi-English

(ANSA)-Rome, July 18-The dean of an Italian university added their voice on Monday to a call for Prime Minister Mario Draghi to take command of the government.
Draghi announced his resignation last week after the Five Star Movement (M5S), an important part of his ruling coalition, did not support the government in a vote of no confidence.
However, President Sergio Mattarella refused to accept his resignation and asked Draghi to report to Congress Wednesday to assess the situation.
“Dear Prime Minister Dragi, the world of universities needs you,” said Feruccio Resta, the president of the Polytechnic University of Milan and the president of the Italian University Dean’s Conference, in a public letter from Colliere de la Serra. read.

Over the weekend, more than 1,000 Italian mayors have signed an appeal to stay in Draghi.
