Musk remembers a millionaire who once said Tesla would fail

San Francisco: Elon Musk revealed that billionaire investor Charlie Munger, vice president of Berkshire Hathaway, once told him that Tesla would fail.

On Wednesday, a 98-year-old investor said cryptocurrencies should be banned and likened it to a “sexually transmitted disease.”

In response to his comments, crypto supporter Musk recalled when Manger said Tesla could fail.

“I had lunch with Munger in 2009 and talked to the whole table in every way Tesla failed,” Elon Musk said in a reply tweet.

“I was very sad, but I agreed with all those reasons and told him I would probably die, but it was worth trying anyway,” he added.

Now, ten years later, Tesla is one of the world’s top automakers and Musk is one of the wealthiest people in the world.

Musk recently said 2021 is a milestone year for Tesla and electric vehicles in general, as EV makers ended up with a net profit of $ 5.5 billion last year, compared to $ 721 million in 2020. ..

Tesla produced 305,840 vehicles in the fourth quarter, up 70% year-on-year.

In 2021, the company delivered 936,172 vehicles. That’s just below the promised 1 million units, but it’s still an 87% year-over-year increase.
