Saudi Gazette report
RIYADH — The National Meteorological Center (NCM) on Tuesday denied a statement that went viral about falling temperatures in most parts of Saudi Arabia that started Thursday.
The NCM said the drop in temperatures starting Thursday in the Kingdom area was not true, pointing to the continuation of summer temperatures.
The NCM’s denial was issued by its official spokesman, Hussein Al-Qahtani, following statements by the Center’s analysts about falling temperatures in most parts of the kingdom.
Al-Qahtani said the center’s analyst Aqil Al-Aqeel’s statement was clear about the current heatwave and return to summer temperatures.
Al-Qahtani noted that temperatures are hot to very hot in most parts of Saudi Arabia, with the exception of the highlands, stressing that temperatures will remain at summer levels.
