Nearly 1 million people in Italy have COVID-19-English

(ANSA)-Rome, July 1-The number of Italians suffering from COVID-19 is close to 1 million after the Ministry of Health reported 86,334 new cases in the last 24 hours on Friday.

It said it helped here to count up to 929,006 for people who are currently positive for the coronavirus.

The number of new cases increased from 83,274 on Thursday.

The ministry said 72 COVID patients died here in the last 24 hours, up from 59 on Thursday.

Italy’s overall COVID death tool is currently 168,425.

A 316,040 coronavirus test was done in 24 hours, and the positive rate dropped from 28.1% on Thursday to 27.3%.

In Italy, 264 COVID patients are receiving intensive care, an increase of 3 per day.

The ministry said that 6,830 coronavirus patients were in normal wards, an increase of 238. (ANSA).
