New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia remain below 200

Riyadh — The number of new COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia fell below the 200 mark on Tuesday, with 145 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours.

New COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom have fluctuated between 100 and 1000 in the past few weeks.

Two more people have died from complications from the virus in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 811,362 and virus-related deaths to 9,263.

A total of 207 people have recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people freed from the deadly virus to 797,949, according to the ministry. Of the active patients, 94 were in critical condition.
