The 2022 Monaco Yacht Show celebrates the announcement of the Sustainability Hub. This new exhibition area welcomes companies specializing in technology aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of superyachts.
Sustainability Hub is an incubator for companies that offer innovative or proven eco-friendly solutions and start-ups working on sustainable alternatives that seamlessly fit into the yacht world. The exhibition will be held at 200 m² in Dulse Sud, a tent specializing in navigational equipment and technology.
The Monaco Yacht Show has announced a collaboration with the Water Revolution Foundation to select companies for sustainability hubs.
The Sustainability Hub was created as part of the environmentally friendly approach of the Monaco Yacht Show, which began in 2005. The show serves as a tool to raise awareness of environmental issues within Monaco and the international yacht community.
Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of MYS: “When MYS joined the Carbon Neutral Program in 2005, we were already enthusiastic about raising environmental awareness. MYS then went on to support environmentally friendly projects in 2010 at the Monaco Foundation. Joined Albert II of the world. Recall that the yacht industry was not beginning to take a “green attitude” at the time. The pioneering approach to sustainability in hosting shows, which began 18 years ago, now extends to new dedicated exhibitions at MYS. MYS is one of the leading voices in the industry. Part of the social responsibility we fully assume today. Therefore, the Sustainability Hub was the obvious and logical next step for the Monaco Yacht Show. Specializing in eco-friendly yacht alternatives, this brand new area is part of our sustainability program and will be extended to the logistics and layout of the entire show here at Monaco Port. We will provide support to all involved (exhibitors, service providers, visitors, etc.) while seeking specific solutions to environmental problems. “
Robert Van Thor, Secretary-General of the Water Revolution Foundation: “The creation of the Sustainability Hub is an important achievement. The Monaco Yacht Show has once again reinforce its leadership position in this area, emphasizing the Foundation’s expertise in sustainability. The new exhibition area is designed to showcase forms of technology that will bring concrete improvements to the world of yachts. We seek, validate, promote and reward sustainable solutions. While making every effort to encourage their use, they are making many necessary changes. “
