NIA sues Dawood Ibrahim, others under UAPA

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a proceeding against the underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim and others under the Tort Prevention Act (UAPA), the agency said on Monday.

NIA spokesperson Sanyukta Parashar has confirmed with ANI that the proceedings have been filed against Dawood and others.

Authorities have filed a proceeding following a recent order from the Interior Ministry to register a proceeding against Dawood.

Later, according to sources, the anti-terrorism agency filed a proceeding against Dawood and others under the UAPA.

It has been found that a special team led by NIA Deputy Inspector (DIG) class officers and police superintendents will investigate the case.

At FIR, sources say Dawood and some of his associates were named after referring to their role in terrorist activity against India through a variety of means, including pumping Hawala’s money.

The NIA move requires India’s permanent representative TS Tirumurti, speaking at the 2022 International Conference on Terrorism, to be fully aware of the link between terrorism and cross-border organized crime and to deal vigorously. Only one month after I mentioned it. This was seen as an obscured reference to Dawood Ibrahim, who is believed to be hiding in Pakistan.

“We need to be fully aware of the link between terrorism and cross-border organized crime and take proactive action. The crime syndication that caused the 1993 Mumbai bomb explosion was not just about national protection, but also about national protection. I’ve seen people enjoy five-star hospitality, “says Tirumurti.

Don Dawood Ibrahim of the Underworld is India’s “most wanted” fugitive.

On March 12, 1993, a series of 13 bomb explosions in Mumbai killed 257 people and injured more than 713. The attack was planned by Dawood Ibrahim.
