Norway defeats Serbia in the UEFA Nations League

Belgrade, June 2 (Xinhua)-The Norwegian national football team defeated Serbia 1-0 in an away match to start a UEFA Nations League Group B4 match here at the Radicomitic Stadium on Thursday.

The visitor led in the 27th minute, thanks to Joshua King’s timely pass and Erling Haaland, who checkedmate the Serbian keeper.

Despite some attempts by Serbian soccer players, guests managed to defend their lead.

The victory puts Norway second in Group B4 after Sweden, followed by Serbia and Slovenia.

Sweden beat Slovenia 2-0 in Ljubljana’s Stadion Stozice in the second match of Group B4 on Thursday night.

The biennial UEFA Nations League was established in 2018 and has dates previously reserved for international friendly matches.
