Aircraft maintenance technician strikes continue and will be further escalated on Monday. For the time being, all flights for Norway and Wideroe will continue to operate normally.

“So far, no flights have been affected by the strike and no passengers,” Norwegian press contact Silje Glorvigen told NTB.

However, changes may occur during the day.

“It’s too early to say anything about today’s progress,” Glorvigen added.

Escalation is expected

Between Friday and Saturday, 31 aircraft maintenance technicians will strike, with an additional 75 scheduled to attend on Monday morning.

Widerøe flights were also unaffected as of Monday morning, but this is subject to change during the day, according to Communications Manager Catalina Sori.

She pointed out that she currently does not have information about which aircraft maintenance technicians will participate in the escalation.

“Currently, no flights are affected, but we cannot deny that something could happen during the day. We plan normal operations and perform planned maintenance in the usual way. We are trying to do it, “Sori told NTB at 7:30 am.
