(KRON) — A capturing that occurred simply after 3 a.m. Monday morning is being investigated by the Oakland Police Division. An Oakland PD spokesperson stated police responded to the capturing within the 800 block of seventieth Avenue.
When officers arrived, they positioned a sufferer who had sustained a gunshot wound. Paramedics responded to the scene and supplied medical help. The sufferer was taken to the hospital and is presently in secure situation, police stated.
The capturing is one among a number of incidents that occurred over a violent weekend nationwide. In Illinois, there was a mass capturing at a Juneteenth celebration. In San Francisco Sunday, six individuals had been injured after two vehicles exchanged gunfire close to Pier 39.
Oakland PD stated an investigation into Monday’s capturing is ongoing.
